The Curse of the Brown Thumb

I have not successfully kept a plant alive since middle school, a sad but true fact. I love plants and buy them and grow them from seeds, but they always die on me. Living in apartments that have no outdoor space perpetuate this problem. I have tried several times to grow herbs like basil and have excitedly produced seedlings only to have my heart broken two weeks later when it shrivels up and dies. The lack of sunlight kills all chances of prospering plants.

This spring I am at it again. I bought a kidney bean kit. I thought, "Hey, every one of my students has grown a bean plant, I can too!" Those fools that made this kit make me angry though. They did not give me kidney beans. I actually have no idea what kind of bean it is, but it's not red, so I am a bit angry. Of course it was only 1000 won, so I can't expect much. I am at day 9 and it's still alive. Woohoo! I am getting my hopes up again.
